A couple of new trends are developing that may cause web design professionals to change the way they design pages, if they have not done this already.  The first of these new trends is a love of content, and not just a little bit of content but lots of it.  The second developing trend follows the introduction of media plug-in tools that allow for rich media content and applications.  Those involved in web design will have to start making room on the pages they are designing for all of this content and also for newer and better media opportunities.

Part of the reason for this new burst in content is the fact that it is required for SEO endeavors.  Also, a new generation of managers who know the importance of content has begun to show itself.  Due to this competition, writers are being paid a lot more than they were when content took a backseat to the other aspects of web design.

Media is important for web design because it drives traffic.  New and original ideas are needed when the majority of today’s on-line markets are so competitive.  So, be sure to leave lots of room in your web design projects for content and media.
